Bennett's Brigade

The love and support of family and friends has been such a blessing for us these past three weeks.

We have had so many creative ways people have offered to help us - from preparing meals to babysitting to mowing our yard.  We thought this suggestion was particularly thoughtful as it comes from Erin Albright, a sorority sister of Breck's:

"I had a co-worker that I used to work with that had a little girl with Cystic Fibrosis...I remember hearing about how his family and friends walked in the Cystic Fibrosis march as "Anna's Army." I was thinking that all your friends and family (and sorority sisters) could be Bennett's Brigade.  Maybe we could each walk or partake in our local fundraiser when it comes around and maybe it will help with funding for research etc."

Philanthropies (fundraisers) are a big part of sorority life, at least for the Kappa Delta's at the University of Missouri.  So, what a great gift to have people willing to raise money for Cystic Fibrosis research in Bennett's honor!

While we're not yet ready to begin spearheading a fundraiser for Cystic Fibrosis research just yet, we love the idea of labeling our friends and family - Bennett's little support team - as "Bennett's Brigade."  But we know that when we're ready to participate in or even coordinate a fundraiser, we know we've got a team of sorority sisters across the country who would be willing to make that happen.

  1. Do non-KDs count?? How about an Alpha Phi who wants to join Bennett's Brigade??? Count me in. We can be an army of sorority girls!

  2. What a great idea! Can I ask who gave you the idea? Love it!

It's been a few days since I've read a lot of catching up to do!

We love to hear from you! Please leave your comment below!
