Blow Away Cystic Fibrosis

We are on our way out the door for our 2nd Waco Great Strides Cystic Fibrosis Walk! Since Bennett cannot be there, I asked a sweet woman I know to take pictures of him with a pinwheel (this year's theme is "Blow Away Cystic Fibrosis") so that I could have a picture of him at the walk.

These pictures are by Khimberly Caton from Snaptastic Shots in Waco.  I contacted her several weeks ago and told her I wanted to get some pictures of Bennett before he was admitted to the Feeding Clinic.  When she asked me to tell her more about Bennett's story and his battle with Cystic Fibrosis, I learned she had a CF connection of her own.  This bonded us instantly.

Here's how Khimberly describes her personal connection with Cystic Fibrosis: "My husbands sister struggled with CF for a long while until she was ready to walk with the grace of God at the age of 12. It was a very difficult time for everyone & still is. She would be 23 years old today. When she was 4 - she had to get one of her lungs removed but her progressed improved little by little. All she wanted was a prayer."

These pictures were given to us for free as a part of a program Khimberly participates in called, "Inspiration Through Art".  I highly recommend parents of children with special needs or chronic illnesses look into the program.  I am so thankful to have made a new friend, learned about a new program and received beautiful pictures of Bennett through Khimberly.  She is just one of the many blessings we have received through Cystic Fibrosis.  More of Khimberly's pictures to come!
