We're here and settled.

We are here!!

And despite that...we took 2 large suitcases, 1 hanging bag, 1 medium suitcase, 2 backpacks, 2 carseats, 1 carseat base, 1 camera bag, 1 stuffed baby bag, 1 stroller, 1 toddler blanket, 1 toddler cup with milk and a small Lightening McQueen car, which forced us to literally walk no more than 20 feet through the airport before setting down one third of the bags (+2 kids), walk back to pick up another third of the bags (where we previously set them 2 minutes before), walk back to set those down and return once again, all to do this 3 times before we got to the checkout counter...

And despite that...Breck lost her cellphone in the parking shuttle bus, which took 20 minutes and a very honest driver to get it back...

And despite that...we confidentially arrived at our gate following the prompt text message reminder of Orbitz with 10 minutes to spare...before finding out that Orbitz was wrong and it wasn't B16, but B4 instead...

And despite that...B4 was not just simply counting down from 16 to 4, but instead was counting down from 16 to 6, then walking almost a quarter of a mile, to find B5 and then B4...

We had an excellent day of travel yesterday!!

Both boys fell asleep on the plane within two minutes.  And almost as fast as we got into the air, the pilot was announcing it was time to prepare to land, which was wonderful!  Within two hours from arriving at the airport, we were in the arms of Nana and Papa!  Backup had arrived and, for that, we were very glad!

Today has been getting settled and enjoying our time with Brian's grandparents.  Tomorrow, we will leave for the wedding weekend and say goodbye to both our little ones for a weekend alone...just the two of us.

  2. Wow! It sounds like you guys had a very interesting day! Y'all enjoy the one on one time with each other while Nana has your sweet boys! :)

  3. I'm petrified of all the stuff we'd have to pack when we get brave and fly with both girls. Hurricane evacuation scares me too- I don't know where we'll put all the bags!
